- Overview
  ultraFluidX is a simulation tool for the prediction of the aerodynamic properties of passenger and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as for the evaluation of building and environmental aerodynamics.

    Starting ultraFluidX with the parameter -h (ultraFluidX -h) exposes additional command line options and special ultraFluidX functions without license checkout in the terminal.
  - Workflow and Output
    After ultraFluidX has been launched, it will read in the tessellated surface mesh, as well as the simulation parameters, and then start to generate the volume mesh based on the specified refinement zones.

    ultraFluidX can generally be used on an arbitrary number of compute nodes.

Starting ultraFluidX with the parameter -h (ultraFluidX -h) exposes additional command line options and special ultraFluidX functions without license checkout in the terminal.

The special functions also work without using MPI.

A helpful option is the specification of a separate output folder or path via the option -o, where a location, such as output, will automatically be created if it will be a new folder in the current directory:

mpirun -np 5 ultraFluidX case.xml –o output

If an output path is not specified, ultraFluidX uses the current run directory for the output by default.
