Radial
A radial draw direction is a type of manufacturing constraint. It is used when a machining tool needs to enter in a radial direction toward the center of the plane.
Apply a Radial Draw
Select the Radial Draw tool and click on a design space to apply a radial draw constraint.

On the Structure ribbon, select the Draw Direction tool
on the Shape Controls icon.
Tip: To find and open a tool, press Ctrl+F. For more information, see Find and Search for Tools. -
Select the Radial Draw tool on the secondary
ribbon.

Click on a design space to apply a radial draw direction.
A microdialog appears, along with a set of three orthogonal planes. The active plane is shown in blue.
- Select a plane to orient the draw direction.
- Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
Tip:
- Click the
icon on the microdialog to eliminate internal voids in the optimized part.
- Click the
icon on the microdialog to designate parts as obstacles.
