  - Part Browser
    Use the Part Browser to create, organize and manage the CAE part structure/hierarchy.

    Use the Representation tool to load and save representations for selected parts. This is useful for storing and retrieving data as required.

    Use the Duplicates tool to locate tiny and duplicate parts in b-spline CAD models.

    Use the Merge/Split tool to merge parts or split them by connectivity or by face.
  - Find and Isolate Specific Geometry Types
    When performing cleanup or defining simulation parameters, it can be helpful to first find and isolate certain types of geometry. This will give you a better idea of the areas in the model you need to focus on.
  - Classify Parts
    Set up and use machine learning (ML) models to automatically classify parts under user-defined labels and into part sets.
  - View Entity Count
    View the number of entities present in the current model.
  - Assign Metadata
    Assign metadata values to selected entities. Once assigned, metadata can be used in advanced selection.

Merge and Split Parts

Use the Merge/Split tool to merge parts or split them by connectivity or by face.

From the Assembly ribbon, click the Merge/Split tool.

Select parts to consider.

Select an operation from the drop-down menu on the guide bar.

Option	Description
Merge`	Join multiple parts together
Split by Connectivity	Split a part into multiple parts based on the connectivity of surfaces. Parts are created out of connected surface patches.
Split by Face	Split a part into multiple parts based on a feature angle. Go to File > Preferences > Geometry to adjust the feature angle. Parts are created out of surface face patches.
