Results Import

Use reader options to control the behavior of the code when reading results from disk.

The reader options are separated into three categories: general and two reader specific options. AcuSolve .log files and files created during General Signal Processing (GSP), .gsph5, can be read directly.

Tip: When Always show dialog at import check box is activated, the reader option dialog will be presented each time a data set is loaded. To keep all options for subsequent data loads, deactivate the option.

General

Default Step to Load
First, last, or unchanged. Unchanged is relevant when loading multiple datasets that may have asynchronous times.
Default Display
Display smooth geometry: Include the calculation of the surface normal for displaying smooth geometry, requires additional computational resources.
Cache time-dependent data: Enables caching of visual representations when animating reducing the time needed once a given time-step has been displayed. Requires additional memory when cache time-dependent data is enabled.
Default coloring: This determines how the surfaces are colored upon first loading. When set to Auto, the code will first try temperature, followed by pressure. If neither exists, then it will use the constant color that is selected.
Default colormap: This sets the default colormap for all entities that are created within the UI when scalar display properties are set on a representation.

AcuSolve Reader

Variables
Toggle the different collections of variables on or off.
Mesh Motion
Toggle on to show the displaced mesh and which mesh displacement field to use to compute the deformation.

GSP Reader

Result Type
Specify the type of result to load when selecting a .gsph5 file: Frequency, Time, Filtered time or All. .gsph5 files are created during the signal processing workflow and may contain one or more domain specific datasets. In the case where both hydrodynamic dB maps and band filtered pressure data are computed, All may be selected to load the derived fields along with the input pressure field.
