MediaView plays video files, displays static images, tracks objects, and measures distances.
Media Browser
The MediaView Media Browser is located on the tab area sidebar and allows you to view and edit media files.
Media Browser Views
Within the Media Browser, there are six predefined browser view modes, accessible from the first row of icons.
Movies View
The Movies view can be switched on by clicking the camera icon, , button in the Media Browser.

Browsers provide a structured view of model data, which you can use to review, modify, create, and manage the contents of a model. In addition to visualization, browsers offer features like search, filtering, and sorting, which enhance your ability to navigate and interact with the model data.

FE Geometry

  The MediaView Media Browser is located on the tab area sidebar and allows you to view and edit media files.
  - Media Browser Views
    Within the Media Browser, there are six predefined browser view modes, accessible from the first row of icons.

      When the Media Window view is selected, all media entities and attributes are displayed in a tree structure.
    - Movies View
      The Movies view can be switched on by clicking the camera icon, , button in the Media Browser.
    - Markers View
      Markers view can be switched on by clicking the Marker icon, , in the Media Browser.
    - Measure View
      Measures view can be switched on by clicking the Measure icon, , in the Media Browser.
    - Notes View
      Notes view can be switched on by clicking the Notes icon, , in the Media Browser.
    - Header and Footer View
      Displays the properties for the header and footer in the Media window. Click the header/footer icon, , in the Media Browser to display the Header/Footer view.
  - Browser Filters
    There are several tools that you can use to filter your data to display specific entities in the Media Browser.
- Adjust the View
  Control the view and display of your media file in the modeling window.
- Measures
  Use the Measures panel to create a vector across any portion of a static or movie image and display the value of the vector in pixels.
- Playing Videos
  For AVI files, MediaView supports the following compression formats by default: MJPEG/MJPG, CVID (cinepak), uncompressed 24-bit color, and RLE 8-bit color.
- External Video Decoder
  MediaView can open video files which were unreadable in previous versions by using external programs as format translators, which create an AVI file using the MJPEG codec.
- Altair Movie Format
  The Altair Movie Format (AMF) specification is a digital video format.
- Tracing
  Trace key points and objects in your video and set up a tracking system on an object in the video.
- Format
  Apply annotations, headers, and footers to your video.
- Compare
  Compare video frames or overlay frames with other videos or images to watch them in flips.
Tabulate Results
Use TableView to create an Excel-like spreadsheet.
Text Files
TextView math scripts reference vector data from HyperGraph windows to automate data processing and data summary.

Movies View

The Movies view can be switched on by clicking the camera icon, , button in the Media Browser.

The Movies view filters entities that are children of Media Windows from all pages in a session. Thus, it will not show Notes, Header/Footer or non-Master Measures. It offers two additional features.

In the Properties Table, the Movie filename is displayed. You can also edit the properties of a Movie (Media) such as Tracking Window size, which controls the size of the markers on that window.
