Share a Copy of Files and Folders

Share a copy of files and folders to other users.

A copy of selected files and folders will be shared with selected users. A folder will be created in the users /stage or /home location and the files or folders will be copied inside that folder.

  1. Click the Files tab located in the upper left-hand of the page.
  2. Using the file system tree on the left, navigate to the location where you have the files or folders.
  3. Right-click on the folder or files.
    Tip: You can select multiple files or folders. Select the first file by clicking its name and hold down CTRL and select each file by clicking its name.
  4. Select Share A Copy.

    The Selected Paths displays the files or folders that is selected to share.

  5. Select the user from the Users list.
  6. Click .

    The user name gets displayed in the Selected Users list.

    Note: To unshare a copy of the files or folders from the user, select the user from the Selected Users list and click .
  7. Click Apply.
    A notification will be displayed that you have shared a copy to the user.
    Selected files/directories shared successfully.
    The user with whom you have shared a copy of the files and folders will view the details in the Files tab.

    A folder Shared_by_<Username>_Timestamp will be created and shared copy of the files and folders will be stored.
