Create Symmetry Inputs

Use the Symmetry tool to create a design variable based on symmetry directions to be considered in the Generative Design exploration.

Note: For Generative Design explorations, only one plane symmetry will be considered.
  1. From the Design Explorer ribbon, click the Symmetry tool.

  2. In the Symmetry dialog, add rows to the table for each symmetry plane to be considered by completing one of the following options:
    • Click None, X, Y, or Z.
    • Click Add Row to define a symmetry plane based on the selection of a plane in the modeling window.
