Plot Browser
The HyperGraph Plot Browser is located in the tab area sidebar and allows you to view the HyperGraph plot structure.

Browsers provide a structured view of model data, which you can use to review, modify, create, and manage the contents of a model. In addition to visualization, browsers offer features like search, filtering, and sorting, which enhance your ability to navigate and interact with the model data.

FE Geometry

  - Plot Browser
    The HyperGraph Plot Browser is located in the tab area sidebar and allows you to view the HyperGraph plot structure.

      - Entity Visibility in the Graphics Window Using the Plot Browser
        Use the Plot Browser to edit the entity visibility in the graphics window.

    - Plot Browser Filter
      The Plot Browser contains several ways to filter your plot data to display specific plot entities in the browser.
    - Plot Browser Context Sensitive Menu
      From the Plot Browser, right-click on a highlighted entity to access the following context sensitive menu options.
    - Properties Table/Entity Editor
      When a plot entity is selected from the plot browser tree, its properties and values are displayed in the Properties Table, also referred to as the Entity Editor. The fields displayed in the Properties Table are dependent on the curve or entity type selected from the Plot Browser tree.
    - Curve Name Properties
      The Properties option gives you more control over how the curve names appear in the plot legend.
  - Entity Editor
    Use the floating Entity Editor to edit attributes for plot entities.
  - Select Plot Entities
    Use the entity selector to specify the plot entity to select.
  - View Controls
    Use the View toolbar to control the view and display of your plot, the curve color display, and plot curves instantly.
  - Preferences
    Set default parameters for HyperGraph plot types.
  - Context Menu
    From the HyperGraph modeling window, right-click to display HyperGraph context menus.
  - Axes
    Axis attributes, such as labels, color, and scaling, can be edited using the Plot Browser, Entity Editor, or the Axes right-click context menu.
  - Synchronize Windows
    The Synchronize Windows feature allows you to manipulate multiple plots in multiple windows at the same time.

Legends View

The Legends view, , displays only the legends in the session, grouped within their respective page and plot folders. Click Legend to display the legend's properties in the Entity Editor.

The following legend properties are visible and editable through the Entity Editor.

Standard

Visibility

Click the check box to display the legend; leave it blank to turn off the legend from the graphics window.

Auto Positioning

Automatically positions the legend withing the modeling window.

Legend Placement

Click to display the drop-down menu and select the legend's placement in the modeling window. Options include:

Inside-Left-Top corner
Inside-Left-Bottom corner
Inside-Right-Top corner
Inside-Right-Bottom corner
Outside-Top
Outside-Bottom
Outside-Left
Outside-Right
Inside-User defined. Use the X Coordinate and Y Coordinate fields to enter specific coordinates for legend placement in the modeling window.

Display

Border Style

Click to display the drop-down menu and select a line style for the legend's border.

Border Color

Click to display the drop-down menu and select a color for the legend's border.

Font Settings

Click on the current font settings to display the Font Selector dialog. From the dialog, you can select the font type, style, and size.

Leader Position

Select from Left or Below for the leader position.

Background Fill Color

Select Default or User Defined.

User Defined: Click the Select Background Color button to customize the legend's background fill color.

Curve Text Color

Select Curve Color or User Defined.

Curve Color: Use the curve's color for the curve name's text color in the legend.
User Defined: Click the Select Curve Text Color button to customize the curve name's text color in the legend.
