FE Geometry
FE geometry is topology on top of mesh, meaning CAD and mesh exist as a single entity. The purpose of FE geometry is to add vertices, edges, surfaces, and solids on FE models which have no CAD geometry.

This realization creates N rows of spring (SPRING2N) elements between shells and/or solids, where N is a user defined value.

Spring (contact) is only available in the Radioss solver profile.

The connection between the spring elements and the links is made with a tie contact definition.

Realization Details

Width: Specifies the distance between the two outermost rows. This is valid only for realizations with two or more rows.
Rows: Specifies the number of rows of spring elements of the realization.; Must be a positive integer.
