AutoTire - Auto Entity

MotionView and MotionSolve support multiple tire models. The AutoTire auto entity can be added to a full vehicle model as a single entity or as a pair.

The tire models describe the interface between the tire and the road. Tire models apply forces and moments on the wheel body so as to simulate real tire forces and moments that tires apply on the vehicle.

AutoTire supports the following tire models:
  • CD Tire
  • FIALA
  • FTire
  • MF-Tyre/MF-SWIFT
  • PM-FlexTire
  • User Tire

Using AutoTire in MotionView

To use AutoTire, you must load the MBD-Vehicle Dynamics Tools preference file. Once loaded, MotionView remembers and automatically loads the MBD-Vehicle Dynamics Tools preference file each time you start MotionView.
