Review and Edit a Measure

You can review and edit the measures, change display options, or delete measures without entering the Measures tool using the entity selector in idle mode. You can also do the same by clicking on the satellite icon in the Ribbon to bring up the measure table dialog or use the Measures folder in the Results Browser.

Change the Display Options of a Measure

  1. Set the entity selector to Measures and select a measure. Alternatively, from the Measure table dialog, select a measure and right-click to Edit.

    This will display the Entity Editor dialog.

    Tip: You can also select the measure in the Results Browser and use the docked Entity Editor located at the bottom.
  2. Use the Display section of the Entity Editor to change the following:
    1. Select a new font type/style/size.
    2. Choose Measure text display options in the modeling window.
    3. Change color (this can also be done from the color column in the measure table or measure list in the browser).

Delete a Measure

  1. Set the entity selector to Measures and select a measure. Alternatively, from the Measure table dialog, select a measure and right-click to Delete.
    Tip: You can also select the measure in the Results Browser and right-click to Delete.

Change Global Display Options

You can control the display for all measure types using the Display Options.
  1. Set the entity selector to Measures and select a measure. Alternatively, from the Measure table dialog, select a measure and right-click to Edit.

    This will display the Entity Editor dialog.

    Tip: You can also select the measure in the Results Browser and use the docked Entity Editor located at the bottom.
  2. Use the Global section of the Entity Editor to change the following:
    Option Description
    Transparency Activate the check box to remove the color from the measure group box and make it transparent against the window.
    Auto-hide Activate the check box to hide the measure group box when the selected entities are not visible on the screen.
    Prefix Activate the check box to show the prefixes for the measure readouts (for example, "Value =").
    Format Select either the Fixed or Scientific format for the measure labels.
    Precision Set the numeric precision from 0 to 10 decimal points.
    Angle Select either Degrees or Radians as the unit format used to display the angle.
